We believe at Revive Church
This “Statement of Fundamental Truths” contains 16 core doctrines that we believe are non-negotiable tenets of the Christian faith. Four of these — Salvation, The Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and The Second Coming of Christ — are considered Cardinal Doctrines, essential to our mission of reaching the world for Jesus Christ.
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
God is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—one God in three persons.
Christ's pre-existence, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and ascension.
Man was created good but sinned, bringing physical and spiritual death.
Salvation through repentance and faith in Christ. Includes justification, regeneration, and the new birth.
Water Baptism & Holy Communion
A separate experience after salvation, with the initial physical evidence of speaking in tongues.
Speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
A definite, yet progressive work of grace leading to holiness.
The Church as the body of Christ, called to evangelize the world.
Called by God for evangelism, worship, discipleship, and building the church.
Provided in Christ’s atonement and available to believers today.
The rapture of the Church—Christ’s imminent return for believers. (Pre-Tribulation)
The personal, bodily reign of Christ on earth for one thousand years.
The judgment of the wicked dead who are resurrected for eternal punishment.
The promise of an eternal dwelling place for the redeemed.
